About Me
I am a lifelong resident of central Ohio. Linda and I were married in 1986 and have two adult children and three grandchildren with more on the way. We built our home in Harlem Township in 2004.
I have pastored for over 28 years. In addition, I recently retired from the Ohio Air National Guard after 28 years as a military chaplain. During this period, I also served as a part-time zoning inspector in Harlem Township (2013-2018).
I am over-educated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Theology, a Master of Divinity, and a Master of Science in Military Operational Art and Science.
When I returned to Harlem Township in April of 2024 being a trustee was not part of my retirement plan; however, my pastoral and military experience granted me a set of skills that seemed particularly useful to serve in this capacity. These include: extensive experience in organizational leadership, operational planning, strategic communication, professional education, personal counseling, international relations, and conflict resolution. I have experience leading teams and have served on three four-star command staffs (PACAF, USAFE-AFAFRICA, USFOR-A) with a focus on training core competencies, crafting operational and strategic plans, planning and executing headquarters staff and theater-wide exercises, sharpening readiness, and creating and implementing international engagement strategies.
While life in Harlem Township does not require international engagement, it does require building trusting relationships with the communities surrounding us and these bridges have been enjoyable to build over the last year.
I am running for Harlem Township Trustee because the work begun over the past year to secure the Township’s future, and to craft strategic plans for the development of the Township, needs to be continued.
